I’m excited to share that I have officially cleared the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam with Above Target in all three processes!🎉

This journey has been incredibly rewarding—from diving deep into the PMBOK 7th Edition, mastering Agile and Predictive methodologies, to managing time and focus through the prep process. It wasn’t easy, but the learning experience has been invaluable.📚💪🏻

Big thanks to ITECHGURUS for the wonderful training provided and helped me to get 35 PDUs to submit my application. 📖

Exciting News: I’m Finally PMP Certified!

My PMP Journey

I began my journey with ITECHGURUS under the guidance of Mr. Prasanth, who established my understanding of project management principles. whose unique teaching methodology-using GoodNotes instead of traditional materials was outstanding. which not only helped me pass the exam but also serves as a future reference for applying PMP concepts.
The mock test created by itechgurus was a game changer in developing the necessary exam mindset, enabling me to pass without relying on the PMBOK Guide.

Lessons Learned Along the Way

1. Overcoming Procrastination:
My tendency to postpone the exam delayed my progress. I learned the importance of taking timely action alongside thorough preparation.

2. Embracing the Right Mindset:
Success in the PMP exam requires a mindset that values learning and adaptability. I shifted my focus from solely relying on past experiences to incorporating new methodologies.

I W​​​​​ould like to express my gratitude to ITECHGurus (Mr. Prasath) for providing repeated training sessions until I was ready to appear for the PMP Exam.

I attended a training program conducted by Mr. RK (R.Karthikeyan). He instilled confidence and provided guidance for the exam. Following his instructions from the last day of class, successfully passing it.

Here are the instructions I followed:

Refer to specific pages in the PMBOK 6th & 7th Editions and the Agile Practice Guide instead of reading all the pages:
1. Start with the training recordings.
2. PMBOK 6th Edition: Pages 733-734 (PDF), Glossary, Acronyms, and 28 pages of definitions (Pages 735-763).
3. Agile Practice Guide: Page 160 (Acronyms) and 6 pages of definitions.
4. PMBOK 7th Edition: Pages 329-370 (PDF) – 1 page of Acronyms and 19 pages of definitions.
5. PMBOK 6th Edition: Page 62 (PDF) – Single page: Project management process group and knowledge area mapping, and an overview of all processes.
6. Write down approximately 20 formulas on paper.
7. One day before the exam, do not study & refer the notes. I went to a movie and spent time with family.

By following these instructions, you can surely crack the exam. Additionally, taking the LMS Mock exam will help build your confidence. Once again, thanks to RK and ITech Guru!
